Since 2007, sound:frame - the viennese “festival for audiovisual expressions” – has  been showcasing audio-visual artworks in the context of performances and museum  exhibitions. Its focus on interdisciplinary art, as well as the annual rallying of musicians, artists and theorists from the fields of visual arts, digital arts, architecture and music, contributes each year to the shaping of the festival’s thematic orientation.

Themes from the previous years include "EVOLUTION remixed" in 2009, "dimensions" in 2010, "perFORMance" in 2011, "substructions" in 2012, "collective" in 2013 and "A MATTER OF..." in 2014. This year, the festival's activities gravitate around the theme of "LIVE".
